COUNSELLING, PSYCHOTHERAPY AND MENTORING IN LONDON

Welcome to Wellbeing Therapy

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

Welcome, & thank you for visiting Bantleman Counselling & Psychotherapy Services. My name is Lisa Bantleman & I am a therapist providing both short & long-term therapy & mentoring to individuals, families & couples.

Therapy in a safe, comfortable and private setting

Life brings many challenges, and it is understandable that at times we might look for support in facing them. As a therapist my role is to provide space and guidance to help you on your journey of self-discovery; to enable you to examine your life and make new, meaningful choices within it.

Why do 'I' struggle?
Why do 'I' feel different?
Why do 'I' feel stuck?
With my training and own experience of the challenges life brings, I offer a chance for you to reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a safe and confidential environment, with someone outside of your day-to-day life.
Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Therapy isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but empowering you to make your own changes. With additional training in fitness, clinical weight loss, nutrition and an in depth understanding of menopause, I can offer evidence-informed insight where appropriate, alongside the therapeutic benefits of counselling. This broader understanding allows me to support clients in a way that considers the physical and emotional factors that can influence their overall wellbeing.
I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully qualified therapist, I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and abide by their code of ethics. This ensures that I work ethically and safely to support you in the best way that I can.

Speak in confidence

Therapy takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy – and without judgement. In the therapy space, thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.

A problem shared

Trouble with a relationship; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression – many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Therapy gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems – and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.

Make better choices

By working together, I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

What issues can therapy help with?

People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through therapy:

I support clients with:-

  • Depression
  • Problems with confidence
  • Anger management
  • Issues relating to sexuality
  • Difficulties at work or in retirement
  • Problems with family or school life
  • Feelings of stress or anxiety
  • Panic attacks
  • Relationship problems
  • Grief, loss or bereavement
  • Problems with addiction
  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • Abuse

Mentoring

With many years of experience delivering parenting workshops, I offer one-to-one parenting mentoring to help parents and carers better understand their children. Together, we’ll develop practical strategies to reduce conflict, strengthen relationships, and help children thrive.

My location

I work in a private therapy room located in a quiet part of London, and see clients from the Greater London area. Details will be provided when we arrange our therapy sessions.

In addition to providing face-to-face therapy, I also offer telephone and online sessions for clients. Although online and telephone counselling have many benefits including convenience and accessibility, I generally recommend in-person sessions where possible. These sessions often allow for a stronger therapeutic connection and a more immersive counselling experience. Contact me to find out more about how online therapy works.

Fees & availability

Each therapy session last for 50 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis, at a cost of £60 per session.

Please note that 48 hours’ notice is required if you are unable to attend the session, to avoid full session payment.
